Cheesemaking Assistant

  • Position Summary

    The Cheesemaking Assistant aids in the process of cheesemaking, affinage (cheese aging), cleaning, and record keeping under the direction of the Cheesemaking Lead.

  • Compensation

    This is a full-time, hourly position (35-50 hours per week) that is irregular with some seasonal variation. Shifts that begin at 5am and shifts that end at 6pm should be expected (not on the same day).

    $16-$18 per hour plus bonus potential.

    3 paid personal days, 2 weeks paid vacation, and holiday pay.

  • Qualifications and Experience

     No cheesemaking experience necessary.

    This is physically demanding work and you must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform repetitive lifting, scooping, brushing, flipping and general handling of cheese.
