Support Assistant Needed! 

The Sequatchie Cove Creamery (SCC) Support Assistant aids in various production steps including, but not limited to, fig leaf processing, leaf wrapping, stocking, and shipping.

Position Summary 

  • Part time, hourly position (about 15-20 hours per week) 

  • 4-month trial period

  • May be required to work some weekends. Flexible schedule preferred.

  • No experience necessary

  • $15 per hour starting

  • Reports to the Inventory Manager

Performance Expectations

*Essential Functions

  • Assists in the trimming, sanitizing, and boiling of fig leaves during the harvest season.

  • Assists with leaf wrapping the Shakerag.

  • Assists with the stocking of Walden.

  • Keeps accurate records.

  • Follows GMP and SSOP guidelines set by SCC.

*Non-Essential Functions

  • Aids in the packaging of large shipments as needed.

  • Participates in gainshare initiatives, works to help the team achieve goals.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to safely lift up to 50lbs.

  • Must be able to work in cold/damp as well as hot/humid conditions.

  • Bending, stooping, walking, and standing for long periods of time.

  • Repetitive lifting and general handling of cheese.

  • Must be able to work with/around common allergens such as dairy products, fig leaves, and whiskey.
